In response to COVID-19, NAKASEC has created an emergency mutual aid fund to support our undocumented community members and mixed-status families who live paycheck to paycheck, who cannot work from home, have been laid off, and/or have other immediate financial needs, and who have been excluded from federal COVID-19 relief.

Join us in spreading love and care to our community. If you don't need your stimulus check, please consider donating it! We aim to reach $50,000 before the end of April; these funds will directly support 100 impacted community members and families! If you cannot currently give, we would deeply appreciate your help in sharing our fundraiser on Facebook with your friends.

The Cherry Blossom Giving Circle is a group of volunteers who aims to create positive change within the Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA) communities of the DMV. They pool funds and resources to support local APIA nonprofits whose work addresses racism and advances equity to uplift the lives and experiences of underserved and underprivileged members of our communities. This year, they have chosen to support AALEAD (serving low-income youth in education), A/PI DVRP (serving survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault), and NAKASEC VA (us)!

Please consider giving to support all 3 of these local organizations’ critical work, especially in providing aid for our community members who are most impacted during this pandemic. Help them reach $10,000 by May 8!

Currently, we are providing telephone and video support for citizenship applications and DACA renewals during the weekdays on an appointment-only basis.

NAKASEC VA is now doing dental referrals for Northern Virginia Dental Clinic- due to the outbreak, we can help complete your intake forms so they will be ready when the Clinic reopens again. The clinic offers low-cost services at a clean, high-tech facility staffed with a range of certified dental professionals. These services include cleanings, fillings, removals, oral surgeries, X-Rays, and more!

Support your community with your skills and talents by becoming a NAKASEC VA volunteer! Community members can assist with specific programs such as naturalization clinics and civic engagement activities.
