Leaders of the New School Application (2017)

Hosted by the Korean Resource Center (KRC), Leaders of the New School (LNS) gathers youth leaders and trains them to become efficient and effective campaign managers. The program focuses on the development of applicable skills as well as application of these skills. Participants will be given the opportunity to organize, facilitate, and run campaigns that will have great effect on our community. By the end of the summer, participants will be fully trained in campaign management.

The LNS program will begin Tuesday, June 20th and will continue to meet every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The program requires approximately 25 hours of commitment per week. In addition to that, all participants will be paid for their time. The program will end on Saturday, August 12th.

The LNS summer internship program will develop into a fall internship program where participants are expected to run and participate in local campaigns.

To be eligible for this internship, participants are expected to participate in at least one (1) campaign event hosted by KRC before June 2nd. Campaign events include, but are not limited to: voter registration, phonebanking, canvassing, and attending marches and rallies.

KRC is not limited to Koreans and Korean-Americans. We welcome anyone to apply for this internship. Please do keep in mind that we will be focusing predominantly on Asian American and Pacific Islander issues.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Susan Cheng at susan@krcla.org.
